Jones Construction Co. is looking for an excavator operator for a wastewater treatment facility in Mitchell, SD Assist in aligning, positioning & connecting underground pipe (pvc, ductile iron pipe, etc) Excavator operator experience (emphasis on DEEP excavations) Experience in digging around utilities required Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, glue, fittings, etc. Cover pipes with earth or other materials. Cut pipes to required lengths. Dig trenches to required depths Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools. Assist in the Installing and repairing sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems. Assist in laying out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors. Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices. General construction labor work, including concrete Operating heavy equipment depending experience including excavator, skid steer, forklift, etc. All other duties as assigned.
