Exavator operator

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to support construction projects across diverse sites. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and paving machinery with precision and safety. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery prior to use to ensure optimal performance. Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including site grading, material transportation, and excavation tasks. Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and other crew members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines. Support specialized operations such as horizontal drilling, tanker handling, or other technical tasks as required. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational reports for project documentation. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, paving machines, and Caterpillar machinery. Proven experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites with a focus on safety and efficiency. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving large vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks. Hands-on experience with horizontal drilling techniques and water truck operations is a plus. Knowledge of construction site protocols, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot common issues. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
