Your Mission:
As a Yard Hostler at Tex-Air, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of trailers between adjacent yards in the Irving area. This local shuttle role keeps you close to home with consistent hours. Here's what you'll do:
High Volume Work:
Steady, fast-paced work moving 50-70 trailers per shift. Move with
Precision:
Safely shuttle trailers between yards, ensuring timely and accurate placement.
Stay Sharp:
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.
Be Reliable:
Operate equipment efficiently, following all company safety protocols.
Team Player:
Work closely with dispatch to ensure smooth yard operations.
What You Bring:
License:
Valid Class A CDL Experience:
Previous yard hostling or shuttle driving preferred (but not required)
Safety First:
Strong focus on safety and operational reliability
Work Ethic:
Dependable, punctual, and ready to take on the day
