Dozer/Excavator Operator

Overview Drake Companies is seeking an experienced Dozer/Excavator Operator for our highway construction project in De Kalb, TX The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating dozers and excavators on roadway, earthwork, drainage, and grading operations. This is not an entry-level position — applicants must be capable of operating equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Operate dozers and excavators on highway construction projects Perform grading, excavation, ditching, slope work, and material handling Read grade stakes and work with GPS/machine control systems when applicable Maintain safe operation around crews, utilities, and live traffic Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks Work closely with foremen and supervisors to maintain production goals

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating dozers and excavators required Highway/heavy civil construction experience preferred Experience with fine grading and drainage work strongly preferred Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment Knowledge of TxDOT project requirements is a plus Reliable transportation and strong work ethic required

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
