The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects. This job will require individuals to travel and stay out of town during the projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment mainly in an excavator, dozer, motor grader preferably. This does not mean that you will stay in one of the three pieces of equipment above. Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Safely load off road trucks to transport materials across a job site. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and according to project specifications. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction site environments. Strong mechanical knowledge related to various types of machinery including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo equipment, and farm machinery. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction settings. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required by the job.
