Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Instructor/Operator and ignite the passion for heavy machinery, construction, manufacturing, and technical trades! This exciting role combines hands-on equipment operation with expert instruction, empowering students and trainees to develop essential skills in a safe, engaging environment. Whether you're teaching in a classroom setting or demonstrating equipment operation in the field, your expertise will make a lasting impact on learners eager to build their careers. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive instruction on heavy equipment operation, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures to students of varying skill levels. Develop and update curriculum materials that incorporate current industry standards, including OSHA regulations and best practices for construction, and manufacturing. Demonstrate proper use of heavy machinery such as boom lift, forklift, scissor lift, telehandler and other industrial equipment while emphasizing safety and efficiency. Assess student performance through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement. Ensure all training activities comply with OSHA standards and organizational safety policies. Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments. Collaborate with industry partners to keep training content relevant and aligned with current manufacturing and construction practices. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), boom lift, forklift, scissor lift, telehandler, or similar machinery within construction or manufacturing environments. Strong background in technical education or adult learning environments with classroom experience preferred. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and certification processes related to heavy equipment operation and industrial safety. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners. Certifications in heavy equipment operations or other industrial equipment are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
