Metal Sorter/Operater 5276 W 16th St, Odessa, TX 79763 Full-time Full-time Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks and other heavy equipment to move and sort metals effectively. Sort metals accurately based on type, size, and quality to meet processing specifications. Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of work areas, machinery, and equipment to uphold safety and hygiene standards. Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe lifting techniques are followed. Perform regular inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards; report issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with workplace regulations. Experience Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in all weather conditions. operating loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar heavy machinery in manufacturing or recycling environments is preferred. Familiarity with metal sorting processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely. Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and proper equipment handling Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs or more. Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in all weather conditions. Must be able to perform the physical task of the job assigned; to include climbing, bending,stooping, kneeling and crouching. Qualifications of Equipment Operater High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience. 1 years experience operating Cat, Sennebogen, Baler Logger in the scrap metal industries. 1 year minimal experience in recycing/demolition
