Heavy Equipment Operator - Dimensional Stone Quarry

Heavy equipment operator wanted for quarrying and preparing natural slate blocks at James River Slate Company's quarry in Arvonia, VA. Experience with slate not necessary, will train. Duties include drilling, blasting, and operating excavators, off-road haul trucks, rock drills, loaders, air compressors and pumps. Must be a self-motivated, reliable, team player who enjoys working outside. Willingness to maintain and fix heavy equipment required. Virginia blasting and foreman licenses and first-aid/CPR certification a plus.
