Branch Civil United States, Virginia, Culpeper Apr 29, 2026 Position Summary Branch's Civil Division is searching for an experienced and safety-oriented Heavy Duty Truck Driver to join our well-established, growing company. The Heavy Duty Truck Driver operates heavy-duty trucks typically designed and used for "off-road" transportation of earth, rock, or other mass or bulk materials. Equipment may be, but not necessarily limited to, a back/rear/end dump or bottom dump. Duties/Responsibilities May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment Routine fueling, lubrication and servicing Cleaning of equipment and work area Operate controls Positioning truck for loading and unloading Dumping/off loading May perform other related duties Duties/Responsibilities Cont. Qualifications Knowledge of construction techniques 1 to 3 years of heavy duty truck driving experience Working knowledge of OSHA regulations DOT experience preferred, but not required Competencies Accepting Direction Accepting Responsibility Working Safely Teamwork Travel Supervisory Responsibility Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
