Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to make a tangible impact on community development.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including excavators and loaders on civil construction sites Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling operations Support underground utility installation (storm, sewer, water) Work closely with pipe layers and laborers to maintain production and accuracy Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and site layouts Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all job site safety protocols at all times Assist with general site tasks as neededQualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators and loaders Experience in civil/site construction preferred Ability to work around underground utilities and trenching operations Familiarity with grade control and reading stakes is a plus Strong awareness of job site safety practices Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferredPreferred Skills:
Experience with GPS machine control systems Ability to fine grade and perform precision work Experience working in fast-paced site development environmentsCompensation:
$32 - $42 per hour,DOE Benefits:
