Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring efficient project progress and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction equipment, mechanical systems, and site safety protocols to support diverse construction activities. Duties Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks with precision and safety. Manage and operate specialized machinery such as concrete mixers, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers as needed for various project requirements. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Assist with site preparation, grading, material handling, and excavation tasks. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines. Maintain accurate records of equipment operation and maintenance activities. Experience Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Construction site experience is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus for operating trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, or tanker vehicles. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous. Experience working with concrete mixers or farm machinery is beneficial. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment while maintaining safety standards.
