Full Job Description Excavator Operator Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating heavy equipment and a strong understanding of excavation processes. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring efficient and precise excavation work.Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain excavators to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, and grading.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Willingness to take direction and follow instructions
- Ability to communicate respectably with customers and employees both verbally and in writing.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure safe and efficient operation on construction sites.
- Perform backhoe and grader operations as needed.
- Safely operate dump trucks, water trucks, and tankers when required.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating heavy equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Good Driving record
- Pre-Employment and random drug screening
- Reliable Transportation, Punctuation
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating Heavy Machinery
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators.
- Proficiency in backhoe operation and grader operation.
- Strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
- Ability to dig efficiently and accurately according to project specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude to handle basic equipment maintenance tasks.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not required.
