Equipment Operator

Excavating and Grading company in search of an equipment operator to join our team. Ideal candidate must have experience with heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, dozer, skid loader and front end loader. Some manual labor will also be included in this position. Role

• Use machinery to move construction materials, earth and other heavy materials from construction sites
• Operate equipment as directed in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury and property damage
• Depending on assignment, able to properly utilize equipment to accomplish tasks involving grade, slope, yield, etc. as needed Qualifications and Requirements
• must have the ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather, enclosed spaces and heights up to 80 feet
• load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
• ability to work without close supervision once directed on a task
• ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept cleaned, and stored in a safe manner
• proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent and coworkers
• willing to accommodate a schedule that can require weekend work
• valid WI drivers license required; must have clean driving record
• reliable transportation to and from work required
• English language fluency
• must pass a drug test Preferred Skills
• Able to read and understand grade stakes, automated machine control cab displays, etc.
• Knowledge of laser grading equipment a plus
• Min 2 years experience preferred
• CDL or CDL with trailer endorsement required
