Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, self-directed Equipment Operator who can run a skid steer, grade, and handle driveway tear-outs and finish grading with minimal supervision. This is a specialized, hands-on production role for someone who can be pointed at a site, told what the finished product needs to look like, and trusted to get it done right. The ideal candidate holds a CDL and has a proven track record of producing clean, accurate finish grades on real jobsites.

Crew Leader / Foreman
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate a skid steer safely and efficiently across a variety of site conditions
  • Perform finish grading to spec, including grade, slope, and drainage
  • Tear out and prep existing driveways and surfaces for new work
  • Establish and hold accurate grades with minimal supervision
  • Read and interpret site plans, stakes, and grade requirements
  • Operate other equipment as needed to support the crew
  • Haul and transport equipment and materials as required (CDL)
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards
  • Take direction and execute the job with little hand-holding
QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED)
  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
  • Proven experience operating a skid steer
  • Demonstrated finish grading ability, able to hold grade, slope, and drainage to spec
  • Experience tearing out and prepping driveways and similar surfaces
  • Ability to work independently and execute a job with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read grades, stakes, and site plans
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical awareness
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates without proven skid steer and finish grading experience will not be considered. Applicants should have direct hands-on experience:
  • Operating a skid steer in real production conditions
  • Producing accurate finish grades
  • Tearing out and rebuilding driveways and surfaces
  • Working independently to complete jobs to standard
