Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation equipment to move, sort, and process scrap materials efficiently. Perform heavy lifting tasks to load and unload scrap metal and other recyclable materials safely. Maintain cleanliness of the yard by organizing materials and removing debris to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in the sorting and grading of scrap materials to meet quality standards for recycling or resale. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and promote a secure workspace for all team members. Support sanitation efforts by managing waste disposal processes and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks. Strong ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting with proper safety techniques. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to scrap handling and recycling operations. Excellent understanding of safety procedures in industrial environments. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
