Equipment Operator Anderson Underground Anderson Underground is hiring experienced Equipment Operators to support traveling underground utility construction crews. We're looking for someone who can safely operate heavy equipment, support underground utility installation, work around existing utilities, and communicate clearly with foremen, supervisors, and crew members in the field. This is a fully traveling role. Candidates must be comfortable traveling out of state for extended periods of time.

generally averages 50-55 hours per week, but can vary depending on work, weather, and project needs Work days are typically Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays when customers allow. Crews are currently working toward an every-other-weekend-home schedule.
Travel:
flights in and out are paid for, and transportation is provided Per diem is usually paid on rain days, but there may be cases where employees are sent home due to sustained weather. In those situations, per diem would not be paid and direction will come from the Supervisor. Anderson Underground works to keep employees working through the winter when the right projects are available. Winter work can depend on project needs and having the right crew mix in place. What we're looking for: Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record At least 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience in utility construction or a related field Experience operating equipment such as excavators, plows, dozers, trenchers, skid steers, hydro-vacs, or similar construction equipment Ability to safely load and unload equipment from trailers Ability to perform digging, trenching, grading, and backfilling for utility installation Comfortable working around existing underground utilities Ability to read and understand utility maps, blueprints, and job plans Good communication with crew members, foremen, and supervisors Willingness to hand dig around utilities when needed Safety-minded and able to follow OSHA, DOT, and company procedures Ability to complete daily equipment logs and job reports accurately Ability to pass a background check and drug screening This is a great fit for someone who has equipment operating experience, a Class A CDL, and is comfortable traveling for underground utility work with paid travel and strong per diem. #ZF
