Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Painter Helper and be an essential part of transforming spaces through skilled craftsmanship and teamwork! In this energetic role, you will assist experienced painters in preparing surfaces, handling tools, and supporting various painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction painting while developing valuable skills in renovation, plastering, caulking, and more. Duties Assist lead painters with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, masking, and cleaning to ensure smooth paint application. Handle hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during painting and renovation projects. Support the setup and cleanup of work sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Mix paints and primers accurately using basic math skills to achieve desired colors and finishes based on schematics or color theory principles. Help with the installation of fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, stucco, drywall repairs, and other finishing tasks. Read blueprints or schematics to understand project specifications for residential or commercial painting jobs. Contribute to restoration projects by assisting with masonry, concrete finishing, framing, or demolition as needed. Qualifications Prior experience in construction painting or related fields such as renovation, remodeling, or handyman work is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding techniques, and scaffolding safety. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math for mixing paints or measuring materials. Ability to read blueprints or schematics for precise project execution. Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry or industrial painting is a plus. Strong work ethic with attention to detail; ability to follow safety procedures on construction sites. Construction site experience including familiarity with schematics and renovation processes enhances your fit for this role. Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
