Driver's License Climbing Spray guns (painting, coating and spraying tool) Full Job Description Valley Paint is seeking a skilled and dependable Residential Painter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience painting interior and exterior residential projects, takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, and maintains a professional attitude on every jobsite. This position involves surface preparation, patching, priming, painting, and cleanup on homes ranging from single-room repaints to full interior and exterior projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, and masking. Protect floors, furniture, landscaping, and surrounding areas. Apply primers, paints, stains, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Perform drywall repairs, texture matching, and minor carpentry touch-ups as needed. Paint interior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and exterior surfaces. Operate ladders, scaffolding, and lifts safely. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite throughout the project. Communicate professionally with homeowners, supervisors, and coworkers. Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications. Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. QualificationsRequired 1+ years of residential painting experience. Knowledge of proper prep and painting techniques. Ability to use brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers. Reliable transportation to jobsites throughout the Phoenix metro area. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders. Strong attention to detail. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred 3+ years of residential painting experience. Drywall patching and texture matching. Knowledge of stucco repair. Familiarity with specialty finishes such as limewash or faux finishes. Skills and Competencies Surface preparation Brush and roll application Spray application Color matching and touch-up work Drywall repair Caulking Time management Customer service Safety awareness Physical Requirements Stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely use ladders and scaffolding. Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
