Summary of Position The Painter is responsible for maintaining the pristine appearance and functionality of the hotel s interior and exterior surfaces. This role plays a key part in upholding the luxury standards of The Maybourne Beverly Hills by performing high-quality painting, finishing, and repair work while adhering to health and safety regulations. Roles and Responsibilities Core functions of the position, but are not limited to the following; Prepare, paint, and finish a variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, furniture, and fixtures, to the highest standard. Apply techniques such as color mixing, surface preparation, and proper application methods. Sand, patch, and repair surfaces as needed to create smooth and even finishes. Remove old paint or finishes using appropriate tools and methods. Inspect and maintain the integrity of painted surfaces throughout the property. Perform touch-ups and repairs promptly to maintain the luxury aesthetic. Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with local regulations. Work closely with the Engineering team and other departments to schedule and prioritize tasks while minimizing disruption to guests. Assist in identifying and reporting any areas needing attention beyond painting. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of professional painting experience, preferably in luxury hotels, high-end residences, or commercial properties. Strong knowledge of painting materials, tools, and techniques. Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality results. Ability to mix colors and match finishes accurately. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform repetitive motions. Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor and confined spaces. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Comfortable climbing and working on ladders or scaffolding up to 10-15 feet. Use of repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods. Ability to work in varying environments, including indoor, outdoor, confined spaces, and high-temperature areas. Visual acuity for precision tasks such as color matching and detail-oriented work.
