The candidate is responsible for the repair, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property's cosmetic materials (interior/exterior painting, patching of woodwork and furniture refinishing), in accordance with hotel standards. Will also assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned. Duties & Responsibilities, including but not limited to: Paint the interiors and exteriors of properties. Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping. Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner. Match paint samples for touch-ups and other small projects. Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all property and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain for the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools, (i.e. brushes, rollers, paint sprayers, trays, ladders, scaffolds, etc.) and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas. Handle chemicals according to hotel requirements (OSHA). This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Prior experience as a painter in residential property and/or hospitality preferred. Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply. Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques. Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.). Good basic math skills. Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. Conscientious with great attention to detail. Must have flexible schedule and be able to work on weekends and holidays. Must be able to work in a fast paced and customer service-orientated environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbal and written) in English with guests, co-workers, and management. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Similar remote jobs
