Painter

Position Summary IQV Construction & Roofing is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, coatings, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of residential or other. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, proper surface preparation, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming. Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and plastic coverings. Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes. Repair drywall (tape, top, and texture) or surface imperfections prior to painting. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe conditions. Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Communicate with supervisors regarding project progress and material needs. Ensure quality workmanship and attention to detail on all projects. Clean up job sites after work completion. Qualifications Previous experience as a professional painter in residential or commercial construction minimum 2+ years Knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and tools. Ability to work with ladders, scaffolding, and lifts. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions. Work Environment Construction sites and residential or commercial buildings. Indoor and outdoor work environments.

Pay:

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
