Job Description

Job Description:
Provide painting and general maintenance support for residential housing units and common areas. Responsibilities include preparing vacant units for occupancy, painting interior and exterior surfaces, maintaining grounds, cleaning office and common areas, and performing light maintenance repairs. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare units for rent (cleaning appliances, bathrooms, vacuuming, etc.) Perform general landscaping and snow removal (manual equipment only) Carry out other unskilled maintenance duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching holes, and repairing minor wall imperfections Apply paint, primer, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and related surfaces Paint and refinish furniture, cabinets, fixtures, and other property assets as needed Protect floors, furniture, and surrounding areas using drop cloths, tape, and masking materials Mix and match paint colors and ensure consistent finish quality throughout projects Inspect completed painting work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials in safe working condition Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements & Skills:
Previous painting experience in residential, commercial, or maintenance environments preferred General maintenance or related field experience Strong customer service skills (direct interaction with residents and staff) Excellent de-escalation and conflict management abilities General labor experience Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Knowledge of workplace safety practices and ability to apply them Ability to use painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, ladders, and sprayers Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Pay:
$25.00 per hour
