Clear path to growth: lead painter role, subsequent positions, and specialty training Supportive, respectful team culture — most team members stay years Role Overview We're hiring a Trim Painter with at least 3 years' experience who cares about excellent, precise work, is a problem solver, and enjoys working with clients and designers. You'll perform high‑quality trim and finishing work on residential and light commercial projects and ideally be open to learning or perfecting specialty decorative techniques. Primary Responsibilities Execute precise interior and exterior trim painting (windows, doors, casings, french doors, crown moldings, baseboards, wainscotting, cabinets/ built in units) Prepare rooms and job sites properly before painting, including protecting floors, furniture, countertops, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces Perform thorough surface preparation including sanding, patching, caulking, priming, masking, and repairing surfaces so they are smooth and ready for finish paint Produce clean, sharp cut lines, especially where wall colors meet ceilings, trim, or adjacent surface Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment as appropriate; maintain tools and small equipment Communicate professionally with clients and design teams; represent the company with courtesy and respect Problem solve on site to deliver mission-complete results independently when required Support/assist on staining, jobs with specialty finishes when trained or as needed What we expect Day 1 Able to independently complete trim painting tasks: surface prep, priming, clean lines, finish coats with brush/roller Strong attention to detail, clean work habits, reliable time management Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years painting experience (residential) with strong trim work skills Reliable transportation (must have your own car - Uber/Lyft not acceptable) Excellent attendance and punctuality Two professional references (past supervisor/manager/boss) - please be prepared to provide them, if you haven't already through the application Friendly, respectful, customer‑service oriented demeanor Preferred Experience working with oil-based paints and coatings Experience staining and finishing trim, doors, woodwork, decks, and other surfaces with attention to color consistency and finish quality Knowledge of restoring and repainting old wood windows, including proper preparation,repairs, glazing awareness, and detailed finish work Interest in learning specialty decorative skills and taking on leadership responsibilities Flexible Working Conditions & Time Off Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; no weekends Most major holidays off; flexible approach to time-off requests with effective communication Culture & Team Hire for character first: kind, helpful, and team-oriented people thrive here Small, stable crew (most team have been working there for many years) led by owners who provide supportive leadership, hands-on mentorship European American Decorative Painting hires based on character and skill and is an equal opportunity employer.
