In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship on a variety of projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and protect surfaces from the elements. This position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled painters who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in their work. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling cracks or holes using hand tools and power tools. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces with precision and attention to detail. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications. Use advanced techniques such as airless paint spraying, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and restoration methods to achieve desired results. Perform surface repairs including drywall patching, trim carpentry, framing, masonry work, and masonry repairs as needed. Operate hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, sanders, and power tools safely and efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects. Collaborate with project managers and contractors to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards across residential, commercial, industrial painting projects, and remodeling jobs. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial environments. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating materials. Knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate color schemes that complement their spaces. Hands-on experience with various construction site activities including framing, carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), plastering, caulking, restoration work, and fixture installation. Ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately to ensure precise application of finishes according to project specifications. Experience working on renovation projects involving demolition, remodeling, or restoration of existing structures. Skilled in using hand tools (such as chisels or screwdrivers), power tools (including drills or saws), welding equipment if necessary for industrial applications, and industrial painting techniques like spray guns or airless sprayers.
