Responsibilities:

Performs work requiring the specialized skills of painting.

• Prepares, mixes, matches, primes, sands, seals, patches and paints furniture, canvas, walls, floors, doors, cabinets, building surfaces and fixtures of all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water-proof and heat resistant finishes.
• Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, wallpaper and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces and adjusts colors when necessary.
• Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment including brush, roll, sprayers and pumps, etc. Safely stores and labels all material.
• Responds to maintenance/complaint/guest requests throughout the hotel and grounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Good Mechanical Skill

• Good troubleshooting skills
• Previous training & experience in cooking, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Comfortable with Windows-based software.
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees.
• Complies with required safety regulations and procedures.
• Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, squat, carry, climb, twist, lift, and reach.

Excellent customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Must be able to withstand outdoor elements for long periods of time. Requires full availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
