Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Looking for Individual to work in local area (Volusia and Flagler Counties) to provide painting and coating services for interior and exterior of our residential and commercial customers.
Requirements:
No previous painting experience necessary. and all tools and training will be provided to perform all aspects of the job. Must adhere to employer's attendance requirements. Work as a team player. No minimum education required. Valid Driver's License.
Job responsibilities include:
Fixing cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using guns or putty knives. Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Smooth-surfaces, using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool or sanding machines. Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisor or homeowners to determine work requirements. Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal for finish coats. Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel or other finishes to homes, small commercial buildings, pool decks and driveways, or other structures using brushes and rollers. Setup ladders to work above ground level. Wash and treat surfaces with rust remover, disinfectant or mildew remover or other preparations, and sand rough spots to ensure that finishes will adhere properly. Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing or using water or abrasive blasting. Remove fixtures such as pictures, door locks, lamps or electric switch covers prior to painting. Waterproofing buildings, using waterproofers or caulking. Clean tools and equipment, including brushes and rollers.
