Job Description

Painter Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing, finishing, and maintaining interior and exterior surfaces on a variety of structures. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on commercial, residential, and/or government properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and priming as needed. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Patch drywall, fill cracks and holes, and repair minor surface damage before painting. Protect surfaces and surrounding areas using drop cloths and masking tape to ensure clean edges and prevent damage. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly store paints, supplies, and equipment. Read blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine the appropriate color schemes, techniques, and materials. Mix and match paints to ensure accurate color matching and uniform application. Follow safety procedures, including the proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and site contacts.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional painter. Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and material types. Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship is a plus. Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Hourly Rate:
$25.18 Health & Welfare (H&W): $8.38 per hour
