Hourly Pay Rate:

Responsibilities The Painter/Engineer prepares, repairs, and paints the exterior and interior areas of the property with a focus on safety. The role will be required to professionally assist with maintenance calls to diagnose a/c issues, plumbing concerns, internet connections, and repairs to light fixtures. The Painter/Engineer will be the one bringing life to walls, ceilings, and common areas. From prepping surfaces to adding the final touches, the Painter's work will make a difference in how people see and feel about our property. Qualifications A valid Hawaii driver's license and acceptable driving record is required A minimum of 2-4yrs experience in painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods Strong drywall experience is needed Experience in the hospitality industry is ideal Ability to effectively prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Must have knowledge of proper use of tools regularly available in the painting/staining and maintenance industry Good attention to detail and color matching skills Capable of successfully utilizing the work-order system Effective verbal communication skills required Comfortable with guest interactions and addressing concerns Ability to work well with team members Strong proactive problem-solving skills Must work with minimal supervision Able to walk, stand, and work at various heights throughout duration of shift Flexibility for scheduling needs
