Construction Painter

Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Execute painting tasks using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to achieve smooth, even coats on walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and industrial surfaces Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application techniques Perform caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and drywall repairs to create seamless finishes and restore surfaces during renovation or restoration projects Apply various coatings including industrial paints and specialty finishes while adhering to safety standards and project specifications Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools such as hand tools, scaffolding, scaffolding systems, masonry equipment, and welding gear; ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations Experience Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques Hands-on experience with commercial or construction painting projects on construction sites or renovation sites Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for accurate measurements and estimations Skilled in using hand tools like brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including airless sprayers; and specialized equipment such as welding machines or concrete finishing tools Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, caulking methods, masonry work, frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall repair, restoration processes, and maintenance tasks Previous handyman experience or construction site experience is highly valued for versatility in handling diverse project needs Ability to work safely with scaffolding systems and adhere to OSHA standards; experience with welding or industrial painting is a plus Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to make a lasting impact through your painting expertise!
