Job Description

Sun Valley Resort Painters are responsible for high-quality interior and exterior painting across resort buildings and facilities. This hands-on role requires a keen eye for detail, knowledge of proper surface preparation, and a commitment to safety, especially when working at heights. Ideal candidates bring a solid understanding of industry best practices and a team-first attitude to every job. Paint interior and exterior surfaces of residential and resort properties, including condos, apartments, and multi-use buildings Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed Protect surrounding areas—such as furniture, fixtures, landscaping, and flooring—before and during painting Collaborate with team members and other departments (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) to support renovation or repair projects Work independently on smaller projects and as part of a crew for larger-scale jobs Match paint colors for touch-ups or small repairs to maintain a consistent appearance across resort facilities Communicate with supervisors and property managers to confirm design preferences, timelines, and project updates Paint interior and exterior surfaces of residential and resort properties, including condos, apartments, and multi-use buildings Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed Protect surrounding areas—such as furniture, fixtures, landscaping, and flooring—before and during painting Collaborate with team members and other departments (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) to support renovation or repair projects Work independently on smaller projects and as part of a crew for larger-scale jobs Match paint colors for touch-ups or small repairs to maintain a consistent appearance across resort facilities Communicate with supervisors and property managers to confirm design preferences, timelines, and project updates High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial painting experience required Ability to complete jobs efficiently, safely, and on budget Strong teamwork and communication skills Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, or in outdoor conditions Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, or emergency touch-ups as needed High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial painting experience required Ability to complete jobs efficiently, safely, and on budget Strong teamwork and communication skills Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, or in outdoor conditions Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, or emergency touch-ups as needed Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
