Overview College Works Painting is a nationwide company with localized branches run by college students. My branch in the Bloomington, IN area, focuses on providing quality customer service and exterior painting/staining, working with each of our clients. Painters are responsible for delivering high-quality residential painting services while representing College Works Painting with professionalism and attention to detail. Prepares surfaces, applies paint and finishes, and ensures clean, precise results on exterior projects such as homes, decks, fences, and trim. Works efficiently as part of a team, maintains a safe and organized job site, and communicates effectively with both crew members and clients to ensure satisfaction on every project Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and power tools. Perform maintenance and touch-ups on existing painted surfaces during renovation or restoration projects. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols. Follow task lists and follow a schedule each day. Work well with other painters and the branch manager, to create a strong team structure. Skills Surface preparation (sanding, scraping, caulking, priming) Brush, roller, and spray painting techniques Attention to detail and precision Time management and efficiency Ability to work in a team environment Strong work ethic and reliability Communication with team members and clients Problem-solving and adaptability on job sites Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment use Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors Cleanliness and job site organization Customer service and professionalism

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
