Position:
Painter/General Labor Who We Are:
Indiana Steel Fabricating, Inc., a trusted leader in structural steel fabrication since 1959, is known for delivering high-quality work and building long-term relationships. As part of our continued growth and investment in the future, we have recently expanded with a new facility in Hope, Indiana. This location is being developed with a focused, highly skilled team and a clear vision to grow into a full-scale operation of approximately 20 employees. This is a unique opportunity to join a stable, well-established company while playing a key role in building and shaping a growing operation backed by decades of industry experience. Join us and be part of our next phase of growth.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visually inspect material for damage and/or missing welds
- Prep material for painting
- Paint material with a sprayer as per the job requirements
- Flip material over with overhead crane to paint both sides
- Assist with loading trucks for staging according to the master load list
- Visually inspect material
- Assure an accurate load list for the delivery drivers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Overhead crane and forklift experience is a plus
- Follow all company safety practices and OSHA regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent attendance is MANDATORY, be at the workstation on time and ready to begin work at the start of the shift
- Reliable transportation is a MUST
- Work schedule is 10 hours per day Monday-Thursday and Friday's when scheduled (6 hours), will be standing the entire shift
- Be Coachable, accept guidance and direction
- Be Flexible, willing to perform tasks requested by the area team lead (including tasks outside of the primary job description
