Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable, high-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall finishing for seamless results. Execute renovation projects involving framing carpentry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, restoration work, and remodeling tasks. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient job completion. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by properly handling tools like welding equipment, concrete finishing tools, hand tools, and scaffolding. Collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship in both residential painting and commercial painting projects across varied construction sites. Assist with maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry repairs or handyman services to support ongoing project needs. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial projects. Familiarity with construction site procedures including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with various hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setups, and industrial painting techniques. Knowledge of surface preparation methods such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing. Ability to perform renovation work involving framing carpentry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, restoration projects or remodeling tasks. Prior experience working on construction sites with exposure to safety protocols and teamwork dynamics. Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; excellent attention to detail in surface finishing work is essential.
