Painter Charlestown Commerce Center Charlestown, MA Job Details Temporary | Part-time $16.50 - $18.00 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Trim carpentry Residential construction Restoration Plastering Caulking Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces in commercial and industrial settings. Both interior and exterior. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure long-lasting quality. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing cracks or holes to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, restoration projects, stucco application, masonry finishes, and drywall or plastering work. Install fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, and other finishing details to achieve a polished look. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by handling tools properly and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects with knowledge of construction site procedures. Familiarity with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including airless sprayers. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques. Additional skills such as handyman experience are a plus but not required. Must be reliable and honest (show up when scheduled). We value energetic professionals eager to contribute their expertise in diverse environments Must have experience painting. Up to 3 days per week (weather permitting). Temporary. We are looking for efficient and good painters.
Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
