You'll work on a mix of commercial, industrial, and residential projects, applying paint and protective coatings to a high standard. This is hands-on field work for someone who takes pride in clean lines, smooth finishes, and getting the job done right the first time. What You'll Do Prepare surfaces for painting and coating, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and priming Apply interior and exterior paints, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment Install specialty coatings such as epoxy, urethane, and elastomeric systems on floors, walls, and other substrates Set up and break down job sites, including masking, drop cloths, scaffolding, and ladders Mix paints and coatings to the correct consistency and color specifications Read and follow project specs, product data sheets, and manufacturer application guidelines Maintain tools, sprayers, and equipment in good working condition Communicate with the foreman and crew to keep projects on schedule Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper PPE use on every job What We're Looking For 2-5 years of professional painting and/or coating installation experience Solid knowledge of surface prep techniques and finish application across different substrates (drywall, wood, concrete, metal) Experience with airless sprayers, equipment, and standard hand tools Familiarity with both residential and commercial work environments Ability to read job specs and follow product application instructions Comfortable working at heights and on ladders or scaffolding Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Punctual, dependable, and able to work well with a crew Willing to pass a background check and drug screening Nice to Have OSHA 10 (Required) or OSHA 30 certification Experience with epoxy and specialty floor coatings Lift certification (scissor lift, boom lift) Bilingual (English/Spanish/Portuguese) What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady year-round work Paid time off and holidays 401K after 1 year of employment with company match Opportunities to advance into lead painter or foreman roles Training on new products and application techniques Supportive crew and team-oriented work environment JAG Painting Contractors, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
