Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on various projects, including renovations and new constructions. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Perform plastering, caulking, and other surface preparation tasks. Execute trim carpentry and fixture installation as part of the finishing process. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including concrete finishing and masonry work. Conduct restoration work on existing structures as required. Requirements Proven experience in residential and commercial painting. Knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for project measurements. Familiarity with color theory and the ability to select appropriate paint types for different surfaces. Experience with plastering, stucco application, and renovation projects. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform maintenance tasks as needed. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Previous construction site experience is preferred. A maintenance person background or skills in carpentry is advantageous.
