Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming living spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of residential properties. Your expertise in various painting methods, surface preparation, and finishing will contribute to our reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from interior renovations to exterior restorations, using your craftsmanship and attention to detail to deliver stunning results. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing walls, ceilings, and trim to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, stains, and sealants using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools for efficient coverage. Execute residential painting projects with precision, including wall coatings, trim carpentry, stucco finishes, and restoration work. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform demolition and remodeling tasks as needed, including fixture installation and masonry work to support surface preparation. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and handling hazardous materials responsibly. Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project timelines are met while delivering exceptional quality. Experience Proven experience in residential painting with a strong portfolio demonstrating mastery of hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints or schematics for accurate project execution. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and experience working on renovation or restoration projects within residential settings. Skills in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), plastering, masonry, or drywall finishing are highly desirable. Hands-on experience with commercial or industrial painting projects is a plus but not required. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities accurately. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
