Commercial Painter Commercial Painter at Manders Companies, Inc.
Job Duties:
Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Read work orders to receive instructions from supervisors to determine work requirements. paint to interior and exterior of commercial buildings. Fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. Smooth surfaces as needed, using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines. primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces Set up extension ladders to work above ground level, as needed. Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities. Remove fixtures, such as doorknobs or electric switch covers before painting. Completion of carpentry projects, including hanging drywall, finishing, sanding, and preparing substrate ready for paint. Clean tools and equipment, such as brushes and rollers Position supervises the work of other employees
