$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Job description: Job Overview Hey college students and graduating high school seniors (must be 18+ by summer)! Looking for a hands-on summer job with great hours and team vibes? Join Alie's Student Painters in Grand Rapids, MI. We're hiring painters to work 35-40 hours/week starting the first or second week of May , painting the exterior of residential homes. No experience needed — we provide full training and all tools. Just bring a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. This is a great fit for students who want to work hard during the week and enjoy longer weekends . Advancement opportunities include production management roles and internship positions for Summer 2027 . Duties Prep exterior surfaces by scraping, sanding, and washing areas before painting Apply exterior paint using brushes and rollers after training Set up ladders, drop cloths, and jobsite materials safely Maintain a clean and organized worksite throughout the day Follow safety procedures and use the provided tools correctly Work efficiently with your crew to complete daily and weekly production goals Communicate with your crew leader and teammates to ensure quality work Represent Alie's Student Painters professionally at each jobsite Skills Ability to work outdoors for extended periods Comfortable using ladders after training Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Willingness to learn painting techniques and follow instructions Reliable, punctual, and able to work full 10‑hour shifts Team-oriented mindset with good communication Basic physical stamina (lifting ladders, carrying paint, moving equipment) Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow safety procedures on every jobsite Perks & Benefits On-the-job training Tools provided Referral bonus program Supportive team environment Schedule 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, Friday (backup for Weather) Weekends off Location Must be able to commute to Grand Rapids, MI 49506 This position is ideal for energetic students passionate about building trades who want to develop a versatile skill set while working on meaningful projects.
