  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter to oversee painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for managing painting crews, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on construction and renovation sites. Your expertise will help transform spaces through expert application of paint, coatings, and finishing techniques, while guiding team members to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects that enhance the aesthetics and durability of various structures. Duties Supervise and coordinate painting crews on multiple construction or renovation sites, ensuring timely completion of projects Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Select appropriate paints, coatings, and finishes based on project specifications and color theory principles Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine scope of work and required materials Operate hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and welding equipment safely and efficiently Perform detailed surface preparation including drywall repair, stucco application, masonry work, and trim carpentry Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and industrial coatings using various techniques such as spray guns or brushes Conduct quality inspections throughout the project to ensure adherence to specifications and standards Maintain safety protocols on-site by using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and following OSHA guidelines Assist with construction estimating for painting-related tasks and material needs for upcoming projects Skills Extensive experience in residential, commercial, industrial painting, and construction site work Strong knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic outcomes Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding construction drawings Skilled in surface preparation including plastering, caulking, restoration work, and drywall finishing Ability to operate hand tools such as scrapers, brushes; power tools including sanders and spray equipment; welding tools; masonry tools; carpentry hand tools; concrete finishing tools; fixture installation equipment; scaffolding; etc. Familiarity with construction estimating processes for painting projects Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during project planning Knowledge of renovation techniques involving framing carpentry or trim carpentry Experience with maintenance tasks related to building upkeep or remodeling projects Ability to read schematics related to industrial painting or fixture installation processes Experience with airless paint spraying techniques for large surface coverage Handyman experience that includes welding or masonry is a plus Join us as a Lead Painter to bring vibrant transformations to life!
