JOB SUMMARY

: Responsible for maintaining all wallpapered and painted surfaces inside and outside the building, including the parking lot, in accordance with prescribed regulations, specifications, facility policies & procedures and state and federal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

: High School Diploma or equivalency required. Must be in good mental and physical condition, able to read, write, and be able to follow oral and written instructions at a level necessary to accomplish job duties; must be able to get along well with others within department and other facility & corporate personnel. Must have acceptable level of experience with painting. May assist other Maintenance personnel with checking and inspecting the safe operation and delivery system of the gas, water, electric, lighting, heating, air conditioning, sewage disposal and fire alarm system regularly with documentation. As requested by the Maintenance Supervisor, regularly checks the building for safety and checks fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler system & auxiliary power generator. Learns to service and perform minor maintenance on air conditioners, heating units, ice machines, coolers, freezers, hand rails, wall guards and other general carpentry work. As directed, conducts & records regular fire drills, ensuring compliance with all regulations & safety policies on each shift. Maintains familiarity with Emergency Action Plan & Disaster Plans, orients employees with this information. Paints interior & exterior of building, including parking lot; uses wallpaper, refinishes doors, furniture, etc. as needed.
