JOURNEYMAN, PAINTER
Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Five (5) years painting experience Valid Mississippi motor vehicle operator's license Experience in air and airless equipment Proven painter II performance responsibilities Must be insurable by the company that provides insurance for all Jackson Public School drivers Applicant must submit to and pass drug screening test as outlined by district policy Reports To Supervisor of Carpentry Supervises N/A Job Goal To insure all facilities are constructed and maintained in a manner consistent with the highest standards of efficiency, safety, economy, and quality. Essential Functions Mixes and matches paint to obtain desired color and consistency Estimates quantities and time for assigned projects Demonstrates proficiency with air and airless equipment Repairs and/or finishes sheetrock Removes damaged plaster and repairs to original condition Finishes furniture Performs other related duties as requested or assigned Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
