In this energetic role, you will be responsible for transforming interiors of residential and commercial properties through expert painting techniques. Your keen eye for detail, mastery of hand and power tools, and knowledge of various painting methods will ensure every project exceeds expectations. Whether working on renovation, restoration, or new construction projects, your craftsmanship will make a lasting impact. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure a smooth painting surface Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or other equipment with precision and care Use hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, caulking guns, and brushes to achieve detailed work on trim, moldings, and fixtures Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and coordinate with other trades like carpentry or masonry during renovations or remodeling Perform plastering and stucco work to repair or enhance walls before painting Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, or framing as needed for a polished final appearance Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Skills Strong knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques including airless paint spraying and industrial painting methods Proficiency in construction estimating to assess project scope and materials needed accurately Understanding of color theory to select appropriate hues that complement space design goals Experience with construction site safety practices and ability to read blueprints or schematics for precise application Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, brushes, rollers, power tools, and welding equipment when necessary Familiarity with renovation processes including restoration work, framing carpentry, masonry, drywall finishing, and plastering Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for project accuracy Ability to perform maintenance tasks related to painting equipment and site cleanup efficiently Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship transforms spaces into works of art!
