In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, enhance property aesthetics, and maintain the integrity of various surfaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and skills, and contribute to the beautification and preservation of buildings. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and other hand or power tools. Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, patching holes, and restoring damaged areas to achieve smooth finishes. Install fixtures such as trim carpentry, moldings, baseboards, and other decorative or functional elements. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating and project planning to ensure timely completion within scope. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by properly handling tools like scaffolding, ladders, welding equipment (if applicable), and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment. Qualifications Decent human Proven experience in residential painting projects with a strong understanding of the trade. Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including sanders and spray equipment. Comfortable with 20-40ft ladders Skills in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco work, masonry finishing, and renovation techniques are highly desirable. Experience with construction site safety practices including working at heights and handling hazardous materials is preferred. Additional handyman experience is a plus such as fixture installation or maintenance work will be considered an asset.
