Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled or entry level (100% no experience is okay) energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and possesses a strong understanding of painting techniques, surface preparation, and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paint and finishes accurately. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and surface requirements. Execute residential and commercial painting projects with precision, including wall coatings, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration work. Perform surface repairs such as drywall patching, plastering, masonry repairs, and concrete finishing to ensure smooth finishes. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform renovation tasks that require carpentry skills like framing or fixture installation. Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction site protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a solid understanding of both residential and commercial projects. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics accurately. Hands-on experience with various hand tools, power tools including airless sprayers, welding equipment (if applicable), and scaffolding setups. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate paints and finishes for different environments. Experience in specialized areas such as industrial painting or restoration projects is a plus. Background in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, drywall installation or handyman work is advantageous.
