This is a senior field position where you will direct crew members, manage job site production, and deliver high-quality finishes on complex commercial projects. If you are a skilled commercial painter with a proven ability to lead people and produce exceptional results, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Leadership & Crew Management Lead, direct, and manage a crew of painters on commercial job sites Delegate tasks based on skill level and project requirements Monitor crew productivity, quality, and adherence to project specifications Mentor and develop apprentices and less experienced painters Serve as the primary point of contact between crew and project management Communicate job progress, issues, and change orders to supervisors Project Planning & Execution Review and interpret project plans, finish schedules, and color schedules prior to starting work Plan, prioritize, and sequence work to maximize crew efficiency and meet production goals Coordinate materials and equipment to ensure the job site is fully prepared Identify and resolve job site issues with effective and timely solutions Track daily production and report progress to project management Surface Preparation & Application Proficient in all aspects of surface preparation including scraping, sanding, patching, priming, caulking, and sealing Perform moderate to complex drywall repairs on challenging commercial projects Apply paints, lacquer, stains, varnishes, wallcovering, specialty finishes, and coatings with precision Apply two-part epoxy systems, measured mix ratio coatings, and specialty commercial finishes Accurately match and mix paint colors; inspect finished work for quality and consistency Build baker scaffolding safely; protect surrounding areas and maintain clean, safe job sites Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods Balance and ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights or in confined spaces Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 60 lbs Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment Visual acuity to distinguish colors, textures, and surface imperfections Tolerance for dust, fumes, odors, and variable indoor/outdoor temperatures Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators Working Conditions Work performed indoors and outdoors, commercial, or industrial job sites Work conditions include but may not be limited to: commercial painting environments on new construction sites, tenant improvement projects, or remodels with varying temperatures conditions working with and around commercial painting products.
