Compensation:

$20.00

Scope of Role:

The successful candidate will perform routine to moderately complex surface preparation, painting, and finishing tasks, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques on both interior and exterior surfaces. Responsible for preparing and applying paint, coatings, and finishes across a range of commercial structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards, project timelines, and client specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, Sheetrock, concrete, and wood Perform building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks Operate equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts Use mechanized high-reach equipment to renew caulking on exterior building panel seams, windows, and doors Perform special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices Perform minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster Survey building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities required; selects appropriate surface coatings. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in commercial or industrial painting Experience working on large commercial projects (e.g., offices, airports, warehouses) Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation methods Ability to operate spray equipment and other painting tools OSHA certification or safety training (Preferred) Experience with lifts, scaffolding, and working at heights Strong attention to detail and workmanship

Physical Requirements:

Be able to work in environments with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noise Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds Ability to climb and work from ladders up to 36 feet in height Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
