In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, as well as expertly sealing gaps and joints to ensure durability and a polished appearance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential, commercial, and renovation projects, contributing to the transformation of spaces with precision and craftsmanship. Paid training and ongoing development are provided to help you excel in your craft. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, or repairing prior to painting or caulking. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, or protective coatings using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other power tools. Accurately read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope and specifications. Perform caulking around windows, doors, trim carpentry joints, stucco seams, and masonry openings to prevent water intrusion and improve finishes. Execute various construction painting tasks on residential and commercial buildings with attention to color theory and surface requirements. Use hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, brushes, rollers, and power tools safely and efficiently. Assist with renovation projects by performing framing carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, and fixture installation as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate execution of work. Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and restoration projects. Skilled in handling hand tools and power tools including airless paint sprayers and welding equipment. Understanding of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects. Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations. Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, fixture installation, maintenance tasks, welding skills are a plus. Familiarity with schematics related to industrial painting systems or renovation plans is advantageous.
