Residential Painter 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Akron, OH 44313 $18 - $22 an hour - Full-time Summit Management Services, Inc. 19 reviews $18 - $22 an hour - Full-time Summit Management Services, Inc., a national property management company, is seeking an energetic and experienced Painter in the Akron, OH market. In coordination with the property manager and other maintenance technicians, the Painter's primary responsibility is to ensure that all vacated apartments are painted to "market ready" status in a timely manner and according to the manager's timetable. This person will be a go-getter and can work efficiently with minimal oversight.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Inspects and paints vacated apartments and completes required forms in regard to painting. Communicates with manager concerning particular apartments that need painting in order of priority. Installs drywall and applies painters' tape whenever necessary. Repairs holes in walls, caulks tubs, repairs ceramic tile. Reports to manager when paint and/or supplies are low to avoid depletion. Performs all tasks in a neat and efficient manner. This includes cleaning all brushes, rollers and equipment and returning said equipment to their designated storage facility at the end of each day. Uses protective equipment when necessary, following all safety procedures. Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy. Participate in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention. Comply with all Company Policies, any applicable rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws. Other work duties, as may be assigned by property manager. Requirements At least one year of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified in the field of residential and/or commercial painting is required. An employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of cleaning fluids and tools, including mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaning equipment, buffer, step ladder, full ladder, hand tools, key-cutting machine, hand truck and wheelbarrow. Pass a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug screening. Be available for occasional overtime duty responsibilities. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be a team player.
