Painter/Drywall Deep Painters East Cleveland, OH Job Details Temporary $15 - $20 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Project coordination Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Painter/Drywall Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in transforming spaces through expert painting, drywall installation, and finishing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial renovations to new builds, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Your skills will help bring architectural visions to life while maintaining safety and efficiency on bustling construction sites. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and taping before applying paint or drywall materials Install drywall sheets accurately according to blueprints and schematics, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening Finish drywall joints with mudding, taping, sanding, and texturing for a smooth, professional look Apply primer and paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve desired finishes Perform touch-ups and repairs on existing painted or drywall surfaces to maintain quality standards Operate hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, sanding, mixing compounds, and installing fixtures Collaborate with project managers and other trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and masonry to ensure seamless project flow Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or with heavy equipment on construction sites Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate installation and finishing Experience with construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus Knowledge of construction inspection standards to ensure quality control throughout projects Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, putty knives) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders) effectively Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital document review and project coordination Ability to operate heavy equipment related to drywall fabrication or site preparation when necessary Strong understanding of various construction disciplines including plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, restoration work, fixture installation, glass installation, cabinet hanging, concrete finishing, welding basics, hardscape work, framing carpentry, door hanging and general remodeling techniques Experience with concrete forming and finishing enhances versatility on diverse projects Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems can be beneficial for integrated project tasks Join us in creating outstanding spaces!
